He pointed out that the current session continues to be implemented through cooperation partnerships with the Sharjah Foundation for Holy Qur’an and the Prophet’s Sunnah, represented by the Central Region Office, as well as a number of supporting and sponsoring parties.
The competition was implemented after the formation of the Supreme Committee for the competition, including several dignitaries.
Al Khateri explained that Al Dhaid Club, with the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, witnessed the launch of the Al Dhaid Ramadan Competition for the Holy Quran after a large participation, adding that the qualifiers were concluded yesterday evening.
He stated that the competition was attended by 248 contestants from various cities of the central region and competed in 6 categories.
The competition included 3 committees formed by the teachers of the Sharjah Foundation for the Noble Qur’an and the Prophet’s Sunnah to accommodate the large number of participants.
Concluding his statement, he confirmed that the closing ceremony for this year will be the middle of the blessed month of Ramadan, and the honouring will include 50 winners, in addition to 8 who have completed memorising the Holy Qur’an for the past year, and 20 parents of students who follow and support the memorisation sessions, as well as honouring the teachers whose students won the competition and the judging committees.
