Sharjah24: The Central Region Department of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) revealed the completion of the road lighting project linking Sharjah Khorfakkan Road and Al Dhaid University, with the installation of 523 lighting poles, 4 transformers 100 kV and a transformer of 500 kV, and the extension of cables with a length of 25,500 km, at a cost of more than AED 7.600 million.
Engineer Khalifa Mohammed Al Tunaiji, Director of the Central Region Department, confirmed that the authority continues to provide the best services to the residents by completing various projects in the Central Region, pointing out that lighting the road linking Sharjah Khorfakkan Road and Al Dhaid University is one of the important projects that serve the region.
He stressed that the lighting projects are among the vital and necessary projects that the Central Region Department continues to implement in all regions through a strategic plan that is applied in lighting operations in all regions.
He explained that the authority is keen to apply the best international systems in the field of street lighting by installing modern and advanced lamps in lighting poles to suit the state of development witnessed by the Emirate of Sharjah in all its regions.
