SPEA discusses aligning nurseries’ plans with Authority’s strategy

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) held a meeting entitled “Planning for Early Childhood ” at the headquarters of the Academy, during which it reviewed the framework of the Authority’s strategy 2022-2024 and discussed the importance of aligning the operational plans of nurseries in line with the main priorities of the Authority.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Muhadtha Al Hashemi, Chairman of the Sharjah Private Edu-cation Authority; Ali Al Hosani, Director of the Authority, members of the Board of Directors of Nurseries in its first session, as well as a large number of directors of departments in the Authori-ty and a number of nurseries managers and those involved in early childhood curricula and programs .

The attendees discussed ways to improve and develop programs, curricula and activities for ear-ly childhood care, and to harmonise work in private nurseries in the Emirate of Sharjah in line with the Authority's strategy 2022-2024, and in line with its vision of achieving distinguished education.

Al Hashemi welcomed the attendees, stressing the importance of the early childhood stage, which contributes to providing the child with the necessary skills, describing this stage as the cornerstone of the educational process, praising in this context the efforts of the workers and their follow-up to meetings, programs and activities concerned with the development of work tools to enhance the efficiency of performance towards early childhood , through their partici-pation in pioneering and qualitative ideas.

Her Excellency pointed out the importance of the interactive meetings to complete the achieved achievements and continue to adopt the best international methodologies, and benefit from experiences to enhance the educational scene and provide a conducive environment for chil-dren, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasi-mi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aiming of creating leadership genera-tions capable of serving society and advancing its sustainable development to ensure a safe and sustainable future.

Dr. Al Hashemi highlighted the great responsibility of officials and workers in the education and early childhood care sector in the Emirate of Sharjah, which was chosen as a child-friendly emirate, stressing the importance of participatory work in the context of a comprehensive sys-tem to support the child in his early stages of development.

In turn, His Excellency Ali Al Hosani explained the importance of focusing on early childhood, its development according to the highest international standards, with ensuring the application of best educational practices, as it is one of the most important stages in which children acquire future skills. Al-Hosani has further pointed out that the early childhood planning meeting is very important, as it contains pioneering ideas and proposals, which may contribute to building on the gains achieved by early childhood programs and curricula.

The meeting concluded with honouring the members of the first session of the Board of Nurse-ries Managers, which was formed in 2020 and consists of 12 members, in appreciation of their efforts. It was also announced that the new council would be reconstituted, aimed at developing the environment of nurseries and ensuring the provision of the highest international standards of services.

Sharjah Private Education Authority launched its new strategy for the years 2022-2024, as a commitment to continue developing and enhancing the quality and efficiency of the private ed-ucation system in the emirate, as well as developing the teaching environment and educational outcomes in line with the latest global trends and in line with the visions of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aiming to promote the education and human development.

As part of developing its strategy, the Authority was keen to include comprehensive areas, in-volving all tools and elements of the private educational system in the emirate, to include all educational institutions from schools, kindergartens, nurseries, early childhood centers and training institutes, to educational staff, parents of students, learners and beneficiaries of private education.
