SPEA receives RAK executive council’s delegation

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) held a meeting with a delegation from the Executive Council of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah, to discuss joint cooperation between the two parties, and highlight closely examining the Authority’s experience in developing the educational system in private educational institutions, and its development of favorable solutions, ideas and initiatives that contributed to the development of the educational field and its advancement.
The visiting delegation was received by Dr. Muhadtha Al Hashemi, Chairman of the Sharjah Private Education Authority,  Ali Al Hosani, Director of the Authority, and a number of directors of departments and heads of departments in the Authority. 

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashemi welcomed the delegation, and stressed the authority's keenness to strengthen the bonds of societal cooperation, reviewing the law establishing the authority, its objectives and the achievements it has achieved since its inception of the authority in 2019. 

Dr. Muhadtha Al-Hashimi affirmed the authority's keenness to share its experience, achievements and gains for the purposes of developing the education sector as a whole, considering the meetings with authorities and institutions in the country an opportunity for consultation, exchange of views and experiences, and enhancing prospects for future cooperation.

She added that the Sharjah Private Education Authority believes in participatory work and is keen to activate the role of the parties to the educational process, and to enhance the participation of the school principals, parents, educational and technical staff and students.

In turn, Ali Al Hosani, Director of the Authority, said that they harnessed all possibilities for the success of the educational system in private educational institutions in Sharjah. 

The attendees discussed the challenges faced by educational institutions during the spread of the Corona virus, the transformation of education into a “virtual system” and the roles entrusted to the concerned authorities to find solutions and overcome the difficulties and challenges imposed by the pandemic.

At the end of the meeting, the delegation got acquainted with the progress of the work system in the nine departments of the authority, through an inspection tour around the place, and was briefed on some of the important initiatives implemented by the authority, including the “Teacher and Be Proud” initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi,  Supreme Council member and Ruler of Sharjah, to appoint graduates of Arabic and Islamic studies majors as teachers of Islamic education and Arabic language in private schools in Sharjah.
