Sharjah 24: Al Khalidiya Suburb Council launches, for the second year in a row, its initiative, which is the first of its kind at the level of suburb councils, as part of its community initiatives, entitled "Mother's Day Initiative for Deceased Mothers".
The initiative consisted of digging water wells as a current charity for the deceased mothers of the suburb through the Sharjah Charity International to honour them for the year 2022.

The event comes in the context of the council’s vision to highlight mothers’ role in building a good family, and what they have done in raising and nurturing generations that contribute to serving the UAE.

The Council presented a cash check of 10000 dirhams to Sharjah Charity International allocated to dig water wells as a current charity on their behalf. The check was received by Aisha Al Huwaidi, Director of Volunteering and Community Service Department in Sharjah Charity International.

His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri, Chairman of Al Khalidiya Suburb Council, expressed appreciation and praise to every mother who worked on giving whether to her family or her country, in terms of work, education for children, and their contribution to building generations.

His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri stressed that this is the least duty offered to them, and that the Khalidiyah Suburb Council did not forget the deceased mothers and will continue to support this initiative periodically every year on this great occasion and to include this initiative within its periodic social initiatives annually.

His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri clarified that all the social and humanitarian initiatives undertaken by the council come out of its societal role in honouring mothers. He praised the role of mothers in building people and nations, considering them a pillar of society, and that the honouring held by the council is only a small part that does not fulfill the mothers their right.

In conclusion, Al Marri thanked the delegation of Sharjah Charity International, who came to the council’s headquarters to receive the check, wishing them all success in their charitable journey.
