Sharjah 24: Fourteen orphans of Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) (Al Tamkeen) were trained in a number of government institutions, agencies and private companies, as part of the efforts made by the Foundation providing aprofessional programmes, to train orphans in support of their professional skills and to empower them for future jobs.
Nawal Al Hamidi, Director of the Social Welfare Department at the Foundation, said that individuals and community institutions actively participate in supporting the programmes implemented by the Foundation, and SSEF appreciates the response of the authorities, which confirms their belief in social responsibility, and their important role in supporting the programmes provided, which has resulted in training a number of children, provided opportunities to develop their professional skills and improve their performance levels.
The initiative would enhance children self-confidence, provide them with job experiences, and achieve better integration in society, and this qualifies them to have a useful practical experience in the fields of work by providing vocational training.
Muhammad Salem Al Kaabi, Head of the Development Division in Sharjah Municipality, said that within the framework of the joint cooperation between the Sharjah Municipality and SSEF, and in order to achieve the principle of social responsibility, training opportunities have been granted to a number of orphaned children affiliated with the Foundation, in order to support the empowerment aspect, career development by developing their skills in the administrative and technical field, as the training opportunities aim to qualify them to assume future responsibilities, provide them with the necessary experience and improve their preparation for the labour market.
Mr. Hilal Ahmed Al Muharram, Director of Human Resources and Administrative Affairs at the Sharjah Cooperative Society, said that the Society is keen to activate social solidarity to achieve social responsibility. Cooperation has been made with SSEF to train a number of orphaned children affiliated with the Foundation, to provide them with practical experience and the required skills that qualify them to join the labour market.
The Foundation also provides vocational training programmes for orphaned children affiliated with SSEF, which is one of the programmes it adopts to create opportunities that contribute to empowering orphans in terms of living and careers, by improving their behavioural abilities in the career path, to ensure achieving sustainability by creating future opportunities for them.
