Sharjah24: The 49th edition of the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show, which kicked off on 23 March at the Expo Centre Sharjah, is witnessing a remarkable presence for the Italian pavilion. Some 38 leading Italian companies and brands along with the most well-known Italian jewellery designers are taking part in the event.
Italian companies participating in the event are presenting a dazzling display of hundreds of pieces of gold and diamond, precious metals and gemstones, as well as a collection of jewelry inspired by Italian culture. The Italian pavilion saw a massive turnout of visitors to the exhibition on its first two days.
"The growing participation of Italian companies at Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show 2022 reflects the leading position of the event, as well as the confidence of local, regional and international brands in it, as a platform for displaying gold, luxury jewelry, watches and gemstones for those interested and dealers in the Middle East market," said Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah.
"The large Italian participation adds more value to the event, whether in terms of displaying a variety of premium jewelry to visitors or empowering Italian companies and exhibitors to expand their marketing map and enhance their presence in the regional market," he added.
Sauro Servadei, Communication Director, Internationalization area, Artex, Italy, expressed his satisfaction with the impressive turnout of visitors to the pavilion and the effective participation of Italian companies in the exhibition.
He said that WJMES is one of the most important exhibitions specialized in the jewelry industry in the region, and reflects the leading position of Sharjah as a regional hub for the manufacture and trade of gold, as well as an important market for the Italian gold industry in the Gulf region.
Parade de Lorenzo, Marketing Director of Vanessa Jewellery, said that his company is showcasing a luxury collection of gold and diamond that reflects the Sicilian style, while using yellow gold, gemstones, blue or dark sapphires, with hand-made drawings on necklaces, earrings in order to add more attractiveness to the pieces.
