Sharjah24: On the occasion of launching the activities of the 19th edition of Sharjah Heritage Days (SHD), organised by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), under the slogan "The Heritage and the Future”, at the historic Al Dhaid Fort in Al Dhaid, for 7 consecutive days. Saqr Mohammed, Director of the Center for International Organisations at the Sharjah Heritage Institute, confirmed that the 19th edition of Sharjah Heritage Days is full of various attractive heritage and cultural events in the city of Al Dhaid, amidst extensive government participation.
In an exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24”,Saqr Mohammed stressed that the ancient heritage carnival program is filled with diverse of attractive activities that target all age groups, adding that a large number of government institutions participate in the events hosted by Al Dhaid Fort for the first time after its restoration and opening. He also pointed out that the event is an opportunity for visitors to enjoy the true value of the historical place, shedding light on the Fort’s historical importance and heritage value.
Saqr Mohammed added that the fort has become an integrated facility full of various services, reflecting the agricultural and Bedouin environment of Al Dhaid.
