Sharjah 24: A press conference, is held at Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled in Sharjah, to announce the 10th Sharjah International Athletics Forum for the Disabled, which will be held from 14 to 16 March, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
During the conference, the participating countries, the number of players and the events that will be held during the tournament, as well as the official and sub-sponsors of the tournament will be announced.
Tariq Sultan bin Khadem, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled, stressed the effective role of the media in shedding light on the forum and highlighting the efforts made by all UAE agencies to provide full support and care for the disabled who have demonstrated great capabilities and succeeded in honouring the UAE in many international sports fora.
Tariq Sultan bin Khadem stated that the UAE have a good experience in organising the largest international tournaments, pointing out that the club's management has formed several sub-committees for the tournament to honour the Emirate of Sharjah.
Ibn Khadem added that the forum saw, over the previous editions, a gradual and remarkable increase in the number of countries, male and female players participating in the competitions, especially those who broke many world records, and extended his thanks to the Sharjah Sports Council, which is the strategic partner in all the club activities.
