Sharjah24: His Excellency Ahmed Saeed Al-Jarwan, Secretary-General of Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), and His Excellency Ayman Othman Al-Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament for the Child, received the Bahraini girl, Rataj Al-Abbasi, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament for the child, who is currently visiting the country for winning in the category honored in the Hamdan Educational Award, while she was accompanied by Kuwaiti Mona Al-Saidi, Member of the Arab Parliament for the Child Previous and Mishaan Al-Saidi, supervisor of the Kuwaiti delegation in the work of the Arab Parliament for the Child.
His Excellency Ahmed Saeed Al-Jarwan welcomed the visit of the President of the Arab Parliament to the headquarters of SCC, and discussed with her the aspects of complementarity between the roles of SCC represented in its secretariat with the Arab Parliament for the Child in supporting the process of parliamentary work for children. 

During his meeting with the Speaker of Parliament, the Secretary-General and a former member of parliament, Al-Jarwan stressed the role played by the Arab parliamentarian for children in raising the awareness of the parliament for Arab children, and presented a distinguished parliamentary experience to establish national parliaments for children in Arab countries.

At the headquarters of the Arab Parliament for the child, His Excellency Ayman Othman Al-Barout welcomed the visit of Al-Abbasi and Al-Saidi to the headquarters of the Parliament and praised them for winning the Hamdan Educational Award, stressing the pride of the Arab Parliament for the child in these achievements that converge with his goals.

Al-Barout accompanied both Al-Abbasi and Al-Saidi on a tour of the corridors of the parliament headquarters and briefed them on the most prominent current activities and programs and the roles played by the Parliament’s General Secretariat in the service of members of Parliament, as well as the programs, diplomas and workshops currently being offered to rehabilitate children in aspects of parliamentary work.

Retaj Al Abbasi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament for the child, expressed her happiness to visit Parliament, as it is the first for her since she assumed the presidency of the Parliament due to the Corona pandemic, which necessitated holding Parliament sessions remotely and discussing topics and Parliament sessions using visual communication.

The greetings of the Arab children were conveyed to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his support for the establishment and hosting of a permanent headquarters for the Arab Parliament for the Child in the city of Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates, as a platform for Arab children to discuss their reality and dreams, preparing them for the future and serving their countries.

Al-Abbasi pointed out that the Arab Parliament for the Child is the dream of every Arab child to be a member of it, given the opportunities it offers to express Arab childhood after it has proven its existence and importance as the first regional parliamentary institution dedicated to children and its higher goals in qualifying a member of Parliament.

Mona Al-Saidi, a member of the Arab Parliament for the former child in the first session, expressed her happiness at visiting the parliament's headquarters and confirmed that the parliament's membership constituted a milestone for her in her life and benefited her in her current educational journey.

His Excellency Ayman Al-Barout presented the Parliament’s shield to Mona Al-Saidi in appreciation of her role and her visit to Parliament, in addition to honoring Mishaan Al-Saidi for his efforts in the work of the first session of the Arab Parliament for the child and his sincere efforts.
