Sharjah24: Sharjah Police General Command, represented by the Department of Criminal Investigation and the Department of Media and Public Relations, in cooperation with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and service providers, launched an awareness campaign entitled "Beware of E-phishing", starting from Wednesday and extending to three weeks, in order to embody the vision of Sharjah Police aligns with the strategy of The Ministry of the Interior to enhance security and safety.
Colonel Omar Ahmed Abu Al-Zoud, Director of the Department of Criminal Investigations, indicated that the campaign aims to raise the awareness of the public among e-shopping enthusiasts about the various methods of fraud and electronic phishing, which fraudsters use to steal money.

Colonel Abu Al-Zoud stressed that the campaign will include the publication of awareness designs and instructions in several languages through the leadership's social media sites, in addition to a number of print, audio, visual and electronic media, in addition to display screens designated in all service centers of the leadership in the city of Sharjah.

The Director of the Department of Criminal Investigation at the Sharjah Police called on all members of society to beware of trolls through those information networks, or social media, through the use of secure websites, and shopping from state-licensed companies.
