Sharjah24: The shiny, new Khorfakkan Amphitheatre is all set to host the celebrated Saudi singer Mohammed Abdu, on Saturday, March 12, as the finale of its successful #Lets Khorfakkan season of concerts promising music lovers an unforgettable night of authentic Gulf Arab music and melodies.
Feted as the “Fanan Alarab” (Artist of the Arabs), the legendary Mohammed Abdu will treat the audience to a selection of his most popular songs, both old and new. His iconic songs will be accompanied by his virtuoso performances on the traditional lute, promising a beautiful night of magic music, peerless poetry and loads of fun for everyone. 

The response to the Saudi singer’s first concert in the city of Khorfakkan on the east coast has been unprecedented with the tickets being sold out in less than 6 hours. 

Looking forward to his date with his fans in the UAE, Abdu said he is thrilled to perform on the finale night of #Lets Khorfakkan season. “I am privileged to meet my beloved fans in the UAE, and I am looking forward to performing at this concert at the beautiful Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, which befits the reputation of Sharjah as a global centre of art and culture. Performing once again in Sharjah, an emirate that is acknowledged for its originality, creativity and modern approach in every artistic and cultural project, Abdu promised the best from his rich repertoire of immortal works spread across four decades. 

The veteran Saudi artist is best known for such massive hits as “Al Amakin,” “Muzhela”, “Baad,” “Leilat Khamis,” “Hala Bi Tayyibil Ghalii,” “Wahm” and “Hala Yabu Shaar Thayer etc. 

Abdu is one of those rare artists who appeal to many generations and age groups.  He has founded a distinguished school of Gulf Arab music building a very strong fan base across the region and around the world.
