Sharjah24: Within the framework of the programmes and initiatives of Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled in Sharjah, and as part of its participation in the Club Race for Rationalization, the club organised awareness lectures and workshops for clubs and centers for the disabled in Sharjah, on the sidelines of the Paralympic Day activities hosted by the club under the auspices and organization of the Sharjah Sports Council.

All the lectures and workshops focused on spreading a culture of awareness of the importance of the environment, raising awareness of the importance of water and electricity, urging the preservation of resources, working to protect them, consolidating the values of the importance of energy as a vital element and how to preserve it, and spreading public awareness about the benefits of applying sound practices to rationalize water and electricity resources.

Ahmed Salem Al Mazloum, executive director of the club, indicated that an integrated work team has been formed, comprising members of the social, cultural, social, operation and maintenance committee, to work on the details of the race, supervise the various axes and standards, and prepare operational plans to achieve the greatest possible benefit from the program and educate club members with disabilities.
