Sharjah 24: A group of Arab female academics confirmed that women have succeeded in creating a balance between the roles they play in their societies as an active member in it, and contributing to the development process of their countries through leadership work, positions and jobs in which they have excelled.
They pointed out that the principle of equal opportunities between the sexes highlights the strengths of women, and enhances the process of social integration in the march of societies towards progress and prosperity.
This came during a dialogue session organised by the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA)’s office in the Eastern Region on the occasion of International Women’s Day, during which it hosted a group of Arab female academics to talk about their personal experiences and visions about the reality of women and their future.
The event witnessed the presence of Fadel Busim, Director of the SBA’s office in the Eastern Region, and a number of officials of government departments, and those interested in cultural affairs.
Dr. Maryam Beshek Al Marashda from the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Israa Al Dhaen from the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Sarah Jadallah from Sudan, attended the session and the media professional Aisha Al Zaabi, moderated it.
