Sharjah Club receives Mohammed Al Mazmi

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Sports Club Board of Directors held an honouring reception for the fencing player, Mohammed Al Mazmi, crowned with the bronze medal in the 2022 Asian Juniors and Cadets Championships, which is the first continental medal in the history of the UAE in individual fencing competitions.
The reception was attended by His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), His Excellency Ali Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Engineer Suleiman Abdul Rahman Al Hajri, Board Member, Head of Individual Games, Muhammad Ali Al Qasir, Executive Director of the club, and Abdul Rahman Al Malehi, member of the individual games and game supervisor, Ali Hassan Al Balushi, managing director and coach of the player Hani Rashad.

His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami said that SSC is very pleased with this historic achievement, which is a first time at the UAE level, and the Council is proud that it was achieved by one of the Sharjah players, and it is a translation of the wishes of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, and the permanent guidance to raise the UAE flag in international participations.

The Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council continued saying that SSC interest in individual games stems from the great attention and care that His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah gives to young people, and the Council works with all clubs to develop the capabilities of players in all individual games, adding that the Council will pay Al Mazmi special attention to prepare him to participate in the Olympics.

His Excellency Ali Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors, dedicated the achievement to His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, indicating that it was his interest in individual games that produced these distinguished results that continued to be achieved. He added that the board of directors gives all games the necessary attention to achieve the best results.
