SDVAD meets with heads of Sharjah suburbs councils

This comes to continue the department’s meetings in light of the current recovery from the repercussions of COVID-19, with the aim of enhancing cooperation and concerted joint efforts to serve Sharjah and provide services and initiatives for the community.

The meeting was held at the headquarters of Al Rahmaniya Suburb Council in the city of Sharjah, and was attended by the heads of Al Kharus Suburb of Al Dhaid, Al Khalidiyah Suburb Council, Al Hamriyah Suburb Council, Al Bustan Suburb Council in the city of Al Dhaid, the Vice Chairman of Muwaileh Suburb Council. In addition to the presence of Abdullah Al Kabouri, Director of the Councils Affairs Department, and a number of the department’s employees.

The meeting is within the framework of the recovery phase that the UAE is witnessing with the return of social life on a regular basis, where Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi praised the success of the endeavour of the suburbs councils and the SDVAD to translate the directives and vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah to serve the community of the Emirate of Sharjah through actions and initiatives aimed at enhancing community cohesion, strengthening social bonds and consolidating relations between neighbours and families.

On behalf of the SDVAD and suburbs councils, Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi commended the support of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for his keenness on the permanent expansion of the construction of suburbs due to their important role in achieving social and family goals and their work to serve citizens permanently and effectively.

Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi pointed out the importance of continuing integration and coordination between suburbs councils to achieve the goals of the public interest, serve the Emirate of Sharjah and its residents, implement events and partnerships with government departments, and coordinate to serve the people.

Members of the meeting shared ideas, development proposals, projects and future plans that support the objectives of the department, councils and work plans for the current year.
