The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, President of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, Chairman of the Higher Committee for Sharjah Heritage Days, in the presence of Abu Bakr Al Kindi, General Coordinator of Sharjah Heritage Days; Fatima Al Marzouqi, Executive Director and Chairman of the Organizational and Administrative Affairs Committee ; Ahmed Salem Al Bairaq, Head of The Institutional Liaison Committee; Aisha Ghabish, Head of the Events Committee; Aisha Al-Hussan Al Shamsi, Head of the Arab Heritage Committee; Badr Al Shehhi, Head of the Infrastructure Committee; Ahmed Al-Dah, Coordinating Officer of the openings of the eastern regions; Saqr Muhammad, Coordinating Officer of the openings of the central regions; Dr. Moni Bounaama, Chairman of the Cultural Committee; Kholoud Al-Hajri, member of the Crafts Committee; Azhar Kubba, member of the Events Committee, and Memories Maatouk, member of the Infrastructure Committee.
The second meeting discussed a set of issues, proposals and ideas for the next edition, which included the plans of the general committees focusing on the importance of creativity and innovation for vital and attractive quality plans that benefit from and build on previous plans to improve the status and march of Sharjah Heritage Days.
The meeting touched on the topic of choosing the country as the guest of honor, which has become a well-established tradition in this major heritage event, the appropriate dates and dates for the launch, and plans to establish the days in the cities and regions of the emirate, where the institute adheres to the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, who directed long ago that the days be present in various cities and regions of the emirate, in addition to opening the door for registration for those wishing to participate in the Sharjah Heritage Days by direct communication via phone number (06) 5092666 and e-mail
[email protected], emphasising the importance of enhancing the institute’s position through programs and events, as it is a category center .The second is under the auspices of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
His Excellency Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Musallam said: "We are preparing to hold a new edition filled with heritage activities that enhance cultural and knowledge activity in the emirate in light of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and His Highness' directives to enrich communication between cultures and preserve the heritage of peoples.”
His Excellency pointed out that the Sharjah Heritage Days have become the largest annual event in the United Arab Emirates and the region, to discover the diversity of human heritage, and its inclusion of many crafts, professions, tools, works and vocabulary, which as a whole play a role in achieving greater rapprochement between societies.
