Sultan bin Ahmed meets with UoS’ heads of advisory councils

Sharjah24: Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah (UoS), met Monday morning at the Student Forum building of the University of Sharjah with the heads of the Advisory Councils of the University of Sharjah's faculties.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi welcomed the attendees, praising the fruitful efforts of the university faculties' advisory councils in serving the university and society, stressing the importance of discussing ideas, accomplishments, and challenges in detail in all university councils in order to develop accurate recommendations that are followed up on and implemented to benefit the university in various fields.
Prof. Hamid AL Naimiy, Chancellor of the University, welcomed Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi and highlighted the importance of the advisory councils' work and their contributions to the university's goals of graduating innovative and promising generations of graduates who serve the community and labour market, which helps to distinguish graduates of the University of Sharjah in a variety of fields.
He stated that the University of Sharjah's strategy relies on connecting the university to society and scientific research, and also collaborating with all sectors on training programmes, innovation, and various research, as well as the development of the teaching process, methods, and curricula, all of which contribute to the provision of scientific expertise to various authorities and institutions that benefit from the university's continuous and advanced research efforts.
The heads of the advisory councils of the faculties of engineering, sciences, pharmacy, communication, business administration, arts, humanities and social sciences, law, Sharia and Islamic studies, and dentistry who attended the meeting expressed gratitude to the President of the University of Sharjah for convening the meeting, demonstrating the university's unwavering commitment to progress and development in all fields, as well as the development of its relationships.

The participants deliberated on a variety of proposals, projects, and initiatives aimed at broadening the areas of collaboration between the university and external parties through public and private sector institutions, in the fields of education and scientific research, both through smart partnerships aimed at providing long-term solutions to all challenges.
