Sultan bin Ahmed attends opening of Forum of Innovation at UoS

The ceremony began with the National Anthem of the United Arab Emirates, after which the attendees watched presentation that addressed the objectives of the forum and the award and the great efforts based on them.
Dr. Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi, President of the University of Sharjah, delivered a speech where he appreciated Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi for his patronage of the forum and for attending the inauguration and the honouring ceremony.

President of the University of Sharjah pointed out that the organisation of the forum comes from the belief of the University of Sharjah of the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship in advancing development and boosting a strong and solid diversified economy, focusing on supporting talent and capabilities in the fields of innovation.

The President of the University concluded his speech by referring to the future goals that the university seeks, as the International Forum for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Sharjah Chamber Award for Innovators constitute an ideal platform for students to learn about the best innovation practices and benefit from them in their education stages.
For his part, His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, congratulated all the students who won the Sharjah Chamber Award for Innovators, stressing that the Sharjah Chamber is keen, through this award, to reflect the thought and visions of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, which represents a beacon for enriching and stimulating creative efforts in all fields.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, honoured the winners of the Sharjah Chamber Innovation Award in its sixth session, for the categories of universities and schools in the two paths: sustainable innovation and innovative projects.
At the end of the opening ceremony, Dr. Humaid Majul Al Nuaimi announced the launch of the “Ideas and Innovation Fund platform” at the University of Sharjah in order to encourage a culture of knowledge, creative thought and excellence, and to involve the community in the processes of developing the quality and education process.
