Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) has wrapped up the 11th edition of the Sharjah Lights Festival, which ran from February 9 to 20 and was hosted by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Sharjah's Islamic architectural history has been cherished, attracting thousands of visitors from within and beyond the nation.

The facades of the emirate's most notable architectural landmarks are lighted in a kaleidoscope of colours and sounds from around the world.
Audience members were taken on a journey of Sharjah's cultural, architectural, and artistic treasures over the course of 11 evenings.

The eleventh edition of the "Sharjah Lights Festival 2022," according to Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, was a great success, establishing the Emirate of Sharjah as a premier site for hosting big international events.

As usual, the festival drew thousands of families and tourists to various locations throughout the emirate to enjoy its exceptional shows and celebrations, and it effectively contributed to the emirate's tourism rejuvenation by showcasing the beauty and splendour of the emirate's monument architecture.

Al Midfa highlighted the authority's commitment to promoting tourist services in the emirate in accordance with His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, as well as his steadfast support for the emirate's tourism industry.

The authority honoured government and commercial sector partners, as well as work teams, volunteers, and contributors of national projects who participated in festival-related activities, as well as the winning media entities in the festival's competition, at the event's conclusion.
