Sharjah 24: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) received a certificate of accreditation for the best work environment from the international organisation, Great Place to Work, in appreciation of SEWA efforts in motivating employees and providing an atmosphere of trust through applying and consolidating professional excellence for employees, pride in belonging to the authority, teamwork, productivity, and providing a positive work environment in different respects.
Abdullah Al Shamsi, Executive Director of SEWA, received a certificate of accreditation for the best work environment for 2022, which is granted by the American organisation “Great Place to Work”, based on the confidence index questionnaire that was submitted to employees to measure their experience working at SEWA. The questionnaire included 1800 employees, at the occupational level.
The certificate was delivered to SEWA headquarters, in the presence of Ibrahim Al Mughrabel, General Manager of Great Place to Work in the Middle East, and a number of directors of SEWA departments.
Abdullah Al Shamsi stressed that the authority’s obtaining the accreditation certificate for the best work environment for 2022 comes within the framework of SEWA strategy that focuses on the human element; listening to the needs and aspirations of professionals; preparing and implementing initiatives that contribute to providing a positive work environment developing employee capabilities and achieving a balance between work and personal life, which are among the main pillars of the corporate culture, which is a motivation for employees to consolidate the concept of teamwork, productivity, increasing competitiveness and pride in belonging to the authority.
Abdullah Al Shamsi explained that SEWA employees are exerting great efforts and contributing to supporting the work environment, and positively contributing to the provision of electricity, water and natural gas services. He added that they are providing electronic and smart initiatives and services around the clock to meet the needs and aspirations of customers, noting that SEWA has become among the best work environments, and this is considered an achievement to be added to SEWA record of accomplishments.
Ibrahim Al Mughrabel, General Manager of Great Place to Work in the Middle East, confirmed that the questionnaire carried out by the authority achieved high rating as a result of its efforts in preparing and implementing a strategy that helps employees to work better.
