The Deputy Ruler of Sharjah praised the efforts of the Ministry’s employees for their contribution in developing the security system, raising the level of awareness among the UAE citizens and residents, and providing high-level services, marking the MOI as a role model in police work.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed extended his congratulations to the wise leadership on this occasion, to Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and all ranking officers, officers, employees and retirees, wishing the police force all the best in their ongoing journey of success.
Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, gave a speech on this occasion, right after the national anthem, in which he stated that the UAE became a unique model in advancement after walking in the path of innovation, development, and excellence, built by its founder the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the founding rulers, following the bright era the UAE witnesses under the great leadership of His Highness The President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the rulers of the Emirates.
Al Shamsi added that the security system constitutes a fundamental part of the country’s success, as the MOI and the other police forces became a model to be proud of for its achievements on an international scale, done under the leadership of Lieutenant-General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
He also extended his congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of His Highness’ accession.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed and the attendees watched a montage about the MOI, from its establishment till the present.
After screening the montage, the students of the Police Sciences Academy in Sharjah marched in, marking the beginning of the military tattoo performed by UAE police forces.
The tattoo included a musical performance presented by Sharjah Police to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of His Highness's accession.
The ceremony dropped its curtains with a souvenir to Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed and a group photo with the various ranking officers and employees of all general commandants across the UAE.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Statistics and Community Development in Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director of the Department of Statistics and Community Development, Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Districts and Villages Affairs Department, Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Digital Office, and Sheikh Salem bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, and several other government officials.
