A number of representatives of government departments and employees of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, and a number of employees of the Institute of Traditional Crafts Museum, were present at the workshop.
Speaking exclusively to “Sharjah 24”, Bu Rashid said that she shed light on the popular heritage that has been known for decades in the use of many plants in the treatment of many simple diseases, including stomach and colon pain, some skin and hair problems, skin diseases and wounds, and others.
She explained that the UAE is rich in many plants and herbs that parents and grandparents relied on in medicine, including Sidr and Frankincense, adding that workers and those interested in this field grow many of these plants until today, some of which grow naturally, especially in mountainous areas.
