Sharjah 24: Sharjah Police, represented by the Traffic and Patrols Department, continued its traffic awareness campaign on winter safety, launched in the last quarter of 2021 in cooperation with its strategic partners in the wild and mountainous areas of the Emirate, which is witnessing a large turnout of the public to enjoy the winter weather, achieving 32 1,517 beneficiaries.
The campaign aims to promote a culture of traffic awareness, commitment and adherence to traffic regulations in desert and mountainous areas that ensure the safety of its visitors, and avoid negative behaviours that may lead to accidents during the winter season.
Major Hassan Al Hosani, Acting Head of Traffic and Patrols Department at Sharjah Police, said: "Sharjah Police is keen to consolidate its security presence by intensifying traffic campaigns throughout the year, and promoting its awareness messages through its social media platforms and various local media, to reach the largest possible number of members of society, and this comes as an embodiment of the strategy of the Ministry of Interior and Sharjah Police aimed at enhancing security and safety.”
The Acting Head of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Sharjah Police called on the public to enjoy their time when visiting these areas, to abide by the instructions and directives issued by the security authorities in order to preserve their security and safety, and to report any practices or behaviours that lead to their insecurity or threaten their security and safety, expressing his wishes that everyone is safe, secure and enjoying the winter weather.
