Sharjah24: The Public Utilities Committee of Sharjah Consultative Council (PUCSCC) and the members who submitted a request to discuss the policy of the Department of Housing in the Government of Sharjah have prepared the entirety of the questions, inquiries and suggestions that it will put to the representatives of the Department of Housing in the session that holding on Thursday.
The meeting was held on Thuesday morning at the headquarters of the Consultative Council and attended by His Excellency Obaid Al-Qadeed Al-Tunaiji, the Rapporteur of the Public Utilities Committee, members of the Committee and a number of members of the council.
In the meeting, the committee discussed the results of its recent visit to the Department of Housing and the meeting with His Excellency Dr. Eng. Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah and Head of the Department, in addition to its presentation of the various tasks and competencies of the Department of Housing included in Law No. 2 of 2011 regarding organising the objectives, powers and competencies of the Department of Housing
During the meeting, members discussed responsibilities and tasks of the Department of Housing in securing appropriate housing for the eligible citizens of the Emirate of Sharjah through housing assistance in a manner that suits their needs in accordance with the best standards and technical specifications.
Members discussed the overall policies that the department performs in the field of government housing and its efforts to identify citizens' needs for housing in coordination with the relevant authorities in the emirate.
