Sharjah24: As part of the invitation of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), Al Subaiha District Council (ASDC) affiliated to the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs attended the heritage events, being one of the traditional heritage parts of the region, in line with the opening of Al Sidra Heritage Lane, which is accompanied by many diverse activities.
The events were attended by His Excellency Khalfan Saleh Al Naqbi, Vice-Chairman of the Suburban Council, Khalid Al Shehhi, Director of Sharjah Institute for Heritage, Khorfakkan Branch, and a number of directors of government departments and institutions, as well as several dignitaries and the people of the area.
The Sharjah Institute for Heritage participated in a series of various heritage programs, at the headquarters of Al Subaiha District Counci in Al Luluiya area in Khorfakkan.
The events also included heritage games and workshops that target the future generations, in line with the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aiming to preserve the heritage especially for the future generation, shedding light on the significance Al Sidra Heritage Lane as one of the archaeological areas. The audience expressed their pleasure with the activities of the cultural program.
