Sharjah 24: In line with the visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, Sharjah Municipality (SM) reaffirmed its commitment to providing the best services to the public and maintaining service facilities.
In the same context, Sharjah Municipality announced that Al Khan Beach received a Blue Flag certificate and raised the flag on the beach after the municipality met all of the global blue flag programme's standards and requirements, channelled all of its efforts toward ensuring marine water quality, environmental education, and beach management, and also obtained an accreditation certificate from World Federation of Standards for Environmental Access for People with Disabilities.
On this occasion, the municipality hosted a celebration on Sharjah's Al Khan Beach, which was attended by Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadim, Vice President of the World Disability Union and Chairman and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled; Dr Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji, Chairman of Department Municipalities, Agriculture and Livestock Affairs; and Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Sharjah Municipality Director General; Marwan Jassim Al Sarkal, Sharjah Investment and Development Authority "Shurooq" CEO; Muaz Al Sawaf, National Coordinator of the Blue Flag, and a number of municipal and government leaders from the emirate.
