Sharjah 24: 14 government and private entities highlighted their most prominent voluntary activities and initiatives, during the fourth virtual Sharjah Voluntary Work Exhibition, organised by the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work (SAVW).
The participating entities included Sharjah Volunteer of the Sharjah Social Services Department, Sharjah Education Council, Sharjah Municipality, Sharjah Awqaf, Kalba Municipality, Dubai Community Development Authority, Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, Sharjah Center for Learning Difficulties, Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, and Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Est, Ajman Society of Social and Cultural Development, Mawalif, Emirates Post-Care Society, and Positive Mind: Training and consultancy.

The participating entities reviewed their initiatives planned for the coming year.
 
Fatima Musa Al Balushi, Executive Director of SAVW, stated that Sharjah Voluntary Work Exhibition aims to introduce opportunities and programmes in volunteering at the level of the UAE, where government and private entities and voluntary teams participate in.

She expressed appreciation for the efforts and cooperation of the participating entities and authorities in the success of the exhibition and for constructing collaboration between the entities in promoting voluntary work.

She pointed out the Award aims to familiarise the public with the available voluntary programmes by providing opportunities and volunteer hours for those interested in volunteering, whether in Sharjah or the other emirates, and it highlights Sharjah’s pioneering role in voluntary work and raises the level of competition between institutions in offering various voluntary opportunities.
