Sharjah24: The activities of the "I am the sea...in love with the Arabic language" campaign were launched in Sharjah, which is organised by the Cultural and Media Office of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, for a period of five days from 15-19, Dec., coinciding with the International Day of the Arabic Language, which falls every year on December 18th.
The campaign includes several dialogue sessions, intellectual seminars, targeting the young people, with the aim of promoting awareness of the importance of the Arabic language.
Commenting on this, Salha Obaid Ghabish, Head of the Cultural and Media Office at SCFA, during the opening speech, stressed the need to preserve the Arabic language against any challenges. She has further shed lights on the wise leadership’s keenness to support the preservation of the Arabic language.
During the campaign, including a group of specialists in the field of the Arabic language, literature and sociology, the attendees discussed several topics, in an effort to preserve the Arabic language and its identity.
