Sharjah 24: Sharjah Awqaf Department (SAD) participated in the 4th Sharjah Voluntary Work Exhibition, whereas an overview of the voluntary initiatives undertaken by the Department was presented. The Exhibition also showed statistics about the number of volunteers and the volunteer hours that have been accomplished, in addition to clarifying the mechanism of participation in voluntary opportunities.
Sharjah Awqaf Department is distinguished by the diversified voluntary opportunities, as field and virtual opportunities are available, in order to facilitate volunteering for all society members.
His Excellency Talib Ibrahim Al Marri, Director-General of the Department, explained that the United Arab Emirates holds a high position in voluntary work, whether at the local or international levels, as it strives to extend a helping hand to the needy.
His Excellency Talib Ibrahim Al Marri added that the Department is keen to keep pace with the efforts of the UAE in this important aspect, revive social responsibility, and promote and spread the culture of volunteering among members of society, to achieve sustainable development and build a better future for the next generations.
