Sharjah 24: In celebration of the Human Rights Day, which falls on 10 December every year, the Human Rights Team at the Sharjah Police, in cooperation with the Punitive and Correctional Institution, carried out a qualitative initiative represented in distributing free entry tickets to Expo 2020 to the families of the institution’s inmates and their children.
Colonel Mona Sorour Al Shuwaihi, Head of the Human Rights Team at the Sharjah Police, said that launching this initiative aims to make the families of the inmates and their children happy by providing entry tickets for Expo 2020, in order to enjoy the cultural activities and events offered by the pavilions participating in the Expo 2020.
She added that the initiative comes from the strategy of the Ministry of Interior and the directives of His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, to ensure the promotion of a culture of human rights through the implementation of qualitative initiatives.
She pointed out that this initiative, which was dedicated to the families of the inmates, came with the aim of standing by the inmate's family, bringing them joy, and providing them with support, which would reflect positively on their social life.
