Sharjah 24: Her Excellency Dr. Sawsan Al Madhi, Director General of Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP), announced the end of the activities of “Relay for Life”, during a ceremony on Flag Island in Sharjah.
Her Excellency stated that FOCP launched this event in conjunction with the celebrations of the 50th UAE National Day, which has concluded on Friday.
Her Excellency added to “Sharjah 24”, that more than 8,400 individuals participated, reaching more than 775 million steps.
Her Excellency highlighted that twenty winners to be honoured, and most of them managed to exceed one million steps daily.
Her Excellency pointed out that the FOCP’s new identity came 22 years after its launch, bearing its history and achievements, and hoping for a bright future, free of cancer.
