SEC approves changing weekly work system in Sharjah

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) has approved changing the system of weekly work in the emirate in line with the vision of UAE vision to enhance its competitive position for various sectors in a way that supports the business environment and the economic market and keeps pace with global development.

According to the new system, which is applied to local government agencies in the Emirate of Sharjah, the weekly work system becomes four working days from Monday to Thursday, and the weekend becomes Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The change also included the official working hours of government agencies to be from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, effective January 1, 2022.
