Sharjah24: In line with the 50th National Day of the United Arab Emirates, Sharjah Ladies Club organised a special day that included different packages and a variety of activities for visitors and club members from 4PM to 8PM on Thursday, November 25, to reflect the Emirati customs and traditions through various workshops and activities.
The club hosted a panel discussion session on the beach entitled “Looking into the Future”, by Her Excellency Aisha Reda Al-Bairaq, a member of the Federal National Council, and she spoke about the plans for the coming 50 years, which reflect the vision of the wise leadership, and the prominent role of the Federal National Council in the journey that the country is witnessing by practicing its legislative powers, and supporting this vision by defining development goals and objectives.
Her Excellency Khawla Al Serkal, Director General of Sharjah Ladies Club, said “The National Day is a significant milestone in the Emirati history, as the UAE has proven its ability to excel and achieve on a global level in various fields by taking care of the most important basics like education, health and security which translate the ambitious strategies of the country. Our celebration in the club this year is represented by traditional activities and workshops expressing our everlasting loyalty towards our beloved UAE.
She added, "The position that women have reached since the beginning of this union is a practical proof to measure the progress made by our leaders in this field. In line with achieving our vision “To be one of the UAE’s leading ladies’ clubs and to inspire the modern woman” we strive to always be a platform that empowers women and highlights their creativity, since the establishment of the club."
The event also included workshops organized by Sharjah Ladies Club Branches such as decorating burqas, Bukhoor Burners and innovative pottery. It also included various activities, including henna drawing and children's activities by Basateen Preschool Center like arts and crafts, face painting and hair braiding.
The celebration also featured interactive artistic activities inside the free drawing studio at Collage Talent Center providing the opportunity to young ones to implement drawings that display the meanings of the colors of the flag, as well as the beautiful celebrations in the country.
There were exclusive offers and discounts that the club offered for participants as well as various services in its facilities for club visitors that reflect the spirit of celebrations in the Emirate of Sharjah in general and in Sharjah Ladies Club in particular.
