ERPD celebrates 50th UAE National Day

Sharjah24: The General Command of Sharjah Police, represented by the Eastern Region Police Department (ERPD), organised this morning a festive march on the occasion of the UAE 50th National Day , which was held at the headquarters of the Eastern Region Police Department.
The event was held with the participation of Colonel Dr. Ali Al Kai Al Hamoudi, Director of the Eastern Region Police Department, his deputy, heads of departments and branches, a number of officers, non-commissioned officers and individuals, as well as a number of retired officers in the Eastern Region Police Department, and a group of school students.

The celebration started from in front of the Civil Defense Department building in Khorfakkan to the administration building, including a package of activities that celebrate the country’s achievements  followed by a speech by the Director of the Department, which began with congratulations and blessings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and to their brothers Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, and to the people of the United Arab Emirates and its residents.

Colonel Al Hamoudi stressed the prestigious position of the UAE, highlighting its achievements during the fifty years since its founding.

At the end of the ceremony, the Director of the Eastern Region Police Department honoured the participating parties that contributed to the success of the ceremony. He also presented souvenirs to retired officers, and the Celebration Committee presented a souvenir to the Director of the Department on the occasion of the National Day.
