Abdullah Al Shamsi, Executive Director of SEWA, explained that the specialised security and safety training programmes implemented by SEWA contributed to raising awareness among employees and providing them with the necessary expertise to deal with emergency situations and crises.
Engineer Fatima Kadhim, Health, Safety and Environment Engineer, confirmed that the evacuation training began at 9:40 am, with the alarm, whereas a number of employees started to leave the building towards the assembly point. As a result, and after receiving the notification, police patrols, the civil defence and the fire truck arrived at the scene at a record speed to take the appropriate measures each according to their respective specialisation.
The evacuation drill comes from the vision of the United Arab Emirates to be one of the best countries in the world in the field of security and safety, stressing the importance of the communication of all sectors and police institutions in supporting sectors of development and sustainability aiming to achieve the growth and prosperity of the UAE
