Sharjah24: His Excellency Saeed Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) , received a delegation from the Municipal Council of Khorfakkan headed by Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi; Saeed Abdullah Al Naqi, Vice Chairman of the Municipal Council, along with a group of council members including the Department of Economic Development and Khorfakkan Municipality, to discuss aspect of cooperation and coordination to meet the needs of people in the region especially in new areas.
Saeed Al Suwaidi, Chairman of SEWA , emphasised that the strategic plan of the authority includes strengthening the water transmission and distribution networks in Khorfakkan, which aligns with the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
He stressed that SEWA is working on implementing large projects in strengthening the water transmission and distribution networks to keep pace with the development and urban expansion in all areas of Khorfakkan.
For his part, Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council in Kurafakkan, highlighted the importance of communicating with SEWA and activating cooperation with all its departments to enhance institutional communication in order to achieve an institutional partnership to meet the needs of society and develop suburbs and villages of the Emirate.
