Sharjah 24: In continuation with the Central Region Parents Council initiative to visit senior citizens as a generation lived the Union, and on the occasion of UAE 50th Natioanl Day, the Council visited the citizen Hassan Khalifa Hassan bin Suroor Al Ketbi, at his home, located in Muzairah in Sharjah.
The visit comes in support of the Central Region Parents Council strategies affiliated to the Sharjah Education Council to communicate with the local community and support the programmes aiming at visiting community figures.
His Excellency Rashid Abdullah Al Mahyan, Chairman of the Council visited Hassan Khalifa Hassan bin Surur Al Ketbi, and discussed the beginnings of the Union and the UAE achievements.
The visit embodied the Council’s vision in keeping pace with the United Arab Emirates fiftieth National Day, and highlighting one of the Council’s programmes aimed at building bridges of communication with the society, cohesion among community members, and different generations communicating and introducing young people to senior citizens.
Hassan Khalifa Hassan bin Suroor Al Ketbi expressed his joy at the visit, recalling the development of the United Arab Emirates before the Union and the developments he witnessed during his career in different fields, praising the leadership’s role in supporting citizens and meeting their needs, and telling a set of stories and events that remain in memory.
At the end of the visit, Al Muhyan thanked Hassan Khalifa Hassan bin Surur Al Ketbi for the good reception and for the discussion that brought them back to the past, whereas he was honoured by the Council at the end of the visit.
