Sharjah 24: The Parents Council in the Central Region of the Sharjah Education Council organised the 50th Educational Forum, under the slogan “The Development of Education during Fifty Years”.

The Forum was organised in the Cultural Centre hall in Al Dhaid, whereas the Parents Council in the Central Region seeks to serve the community, as well as integrating programmes targeting the local community. The Forum coincided with the UAE’s golden jubilee celebrations.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi, Member of Sharjah Executive Council and Chairman of the Sharjah Education Council; Sheikh Mohammed bin Muadhid bin Howaiden, former President of the Municipal Council of Al Dhaid; Dr. Mohammed Abdullah bin Howaiden, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Al Dhaid; Dr. Salem Zayed Al Tunaiji, Chairman of Al Bustan Suburb Council; and Khalifa Saif Hamed Al Tunaiji, a researcher in the field of education, senior officials, educators and a number of teachers and parents, in addition to the presence of Rashid Al Mehyan, Chairman of the Parents Council in the Central Region, Dr. Ali Salem Al Tunaiji, Secretary General, members of the Council and a group of invitees.

Al Mehyan stressed that the Parents Council, under the umbrella of Sharjah Education Council in Sharjah is working to enhance the history of education and its great development since the foundation of the Union to this moment.

Al Mehyan indicated that the Council is keen to continue to support teachers, given the great responsibilities they bear in raising and educating generations.
