Salem Al Qasimi attends Sports to confront behaviours conference

Sharjah24: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ruler's Office, witnessed Sunday morning the opening of the first international conference "Sports to confront antisocial behaviours", at the Culture Palace.

The ceremony began with the national anthem of the UAE, after which verses from the Quran were recited, then Abdullah Omar, Director of the Public Benefit Societies Department, delivered the speech of the Ministry of Community Development, in which he thanked His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for his constant support for family stability and community cohesion, and for His Highness’ sustainable initiatives, efforts active and constructive social ideas.

He pointed out that the Ministry of Community Development supports all forums organised by public benefit associations that share the ministry's vision, goals and aspirations for more cohesive, cohesive and harmonious societies, and works to motivate them to be more present and committed to the directions of sustainable future development in the UAE.

Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, delivered a speech in which he offered congratulations to the wise leadership on the occasion of the National Day, noting that the achievements during the past fifty years are a source of inspiration and pride.

The Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council addressed the development of sports in the Emirate of Sharjah since the fifties of the last century, stressing the great role and unlimited support of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in the development of sports and the establishment of clubs that spread in all regions of the Emirate of Sharjah.

Dr. Jassim Khalil Mirza, Chairman of the Sociologists Association, concluded the opening speeches of the conference, thanking His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for his unlimited support for all the activities of the society, and for His Highness’s patronage and support for the conference, He also thanked Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi.

Then, Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi honoured the winners of the Emirates Prize for Social and Humanitarian Work in its second session, and the winners of the Fathi Afana Prize for Social and Humanitarian Work in its first session.
