Sharjah 24: The Khorfakkan Municipal Council (KMC), held its general periodic meeting on Wednesday in Nahwa, a village in Khorfakkan, headed by Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Council.
Eng. Fawzia Al Qadi, Director of Khorfakkan Municipality attended the meeting along with Abdullah Khalfan Al Naqbi, Wali of Nahwa, and other members of the Municipal Council.
In an exclusive interview with Sharjah 24, Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi said that the meeting was held in Nahwa to shed light on the heritage and tourism of the picturesque village, in addition to discussing the needs of the Village’s people.
He explained that the Council approved in the meeting its strategic plan for 2022, which is based on enhancing the quality of municipal services and upgrading service facilities, especially in the growing populated areas, such as Al Haray, as well as the creation of a media office for the Municipal Council.
Al Naqbi added that the attendees discussed the city's preparations for the 50th National Day celebrations, which will start on November 23 at Khorfakkan Amphitheater.
