Sharjah24: The channels of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA), while keeping pace with the activities of the 40th Sharjah International Book Fair SIBF), which was organised by the Sharjah Book Authority at the Sharjah Expo Center during the period from 3 to 13 November, hosted 439 prominent guests on the local, Arab and international levels, as well as 90 hours of media broadcasts, were carried out by an integrated team of 290 media professionals and technicians.
Over 11 days, the Sharjah channel broadcast 19 hours and hosted 85 personalities, Al Sharqiya Channel from Kalba covered the events of the exhibition with 20 broadcast hours and hosted 101 personalities, and Al Wusta channel from Al Dhaid 11 broadcasts and hosted 124 personalities.

While Sharjah Radio broadcasted 22 hours and hosted 89 personalities, Radio “Plus 95” broadcasted 18 hours and hosted 40 writers, it included various dialogue sessions, workshops, poetry and literary evenings, and dialogues with guests and visitors, while the authority’s social media accounts kept up with the course of the exhibition through 469 posts.

About 290 cadres of the SBA, in various editorial, technical and engineering disciplines, contributed to the transfer of the exhibition, through the provision of various reports, direct coverage, dialogues with the senior guest, as well as a series of meetings with visitors.

His Excellency Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of SBA, stressed that the authority is keen to keep pace with the activities of the Sharjah International Book Fair annually, based on its well-established partnership with the Sharjah Book Authority, which embodies the integration of institutional work in the emirate, pointing to the exceptional importance of the exhibition, which is issued through it the book fairs in the world by announcing the largest exhibition in the world in terms of buying and selling copyrights for the year 2021.
