Sharjah Radio launches ‘Our children, Our reciters’ competition

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Holy Quran Radio, an affiliate of Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, is launching the second edition of the international competition (SNQSE) ‘Our children, Our reciters’ in partnership with the Sharjah Noble Quran & Sunnah Establishment.
The competition, which is open to all nationalities worldwide and broadcasted on the radio’s social media accounts, aims to nurture young reciters and bring them closer to their religion. The competition accepts reciters in four categories: Children under eight years, 8-12 years, 12-18 years, and special needs.

The AED 60,000 competition prize will be divided equally between the top winner of each category. 

November 2nd, submissions deadline
The radio station set November 2nd as the deadline for submissions. Participants need to post their video-recorded entry on their social media account or their parents,  mentioning Sharjah Noble Quran & Sunnah Establishment handle, in addition to the hashtag #‘Our children, Our reciters’.

Khalifa Hassan Khalaf, Holy Quran Radio Manager , said: “Through the competition, the Quran Radio highlights the talents of Quran reciters and the notable work of institutions in the religious domain. With the launch of the 2nd edition, the radio station adds to its portfolio a successful programme that helped the discovery and the nurturing of amazing young talents.”

For his part, Omar Al Shamsi, Manager of Sharjah Noble Quran & Sunnah Establishment, said: “This competition is aimed at bringing the young generations closer to their religion. Therefore, we partnered with the Sharjah Holy Quran radio that we share common goals that support the competition and its outcomes.”
