Khalidiya Council donates AED 500 thousand to SSEF orphans

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) (Al Tamkeen) received from the management of Khalidiya Suburb Council in Sharjah a financial support of 500 thousand dirhams, to support projects aiming at caring for orphaned children affiliated SSEF.
The support comes within the Council's keenness to promote the values of social solidarity and social responsibility among community institutions.

His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri, Chairman of Al Khalidiya Council, accompanied by Mohammed Rashid bin Jarash, Vice Chairman of the Council, Ali Hamad bin Sifan, member of the Council, Imran Muhammad Al Hammadi, the Council’s official, Abdulaziz Khalid Al Abdooli, Administrative Secretary, and Hamid Al Hammadi, employee of the Council, received SSEF delegation represented by Munira Al Yafei, Deputy Director General, and Mr. Salah Al Hosani, Education Adviser at the Foundation.

After delivering the check, His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri confirmed that the Council is keen to develop the roles of humanitarian and charitable institutions, which consolidates the role of the community council.

His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri explained that the donation constitutes one of the initiatives of Khalidiyah Suburb Council in the context of supporting humanitarian and charitable work, according to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah who established institutions caring for important segments of society, including orphans.

In this regard, Her Excellency Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director General of SSEF said that the Foundation appreciates and applauds the support of Khalidiyah Suburb Council, whereas such constructive cooperation is of paramount importance in providing better services to 2540 orphans affiliated to the Foundation in Sharjah. She added that the support will contribute to improving the quality of life provided to children after the death of the breadwinner, and sponsoring their educational, health and psychological needs.

Her Excellency Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi  concluded by highlighting the influential role played by the institutions solidarity in contributing to  support orphans, whereas the cooperation of all society members is a necessary for children to enjoy their rights in life and become the pillar of the future of this generous country.
