Sharjah 24: In order to enhance traffic safety, Sharjah Police General Command (SPGC), represented by the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department, continues to disseminate awareness messages to vehicle drivers who use trailers to abide by traffic laws and instructions that enhance their safety and the safety of others.
Lieutenant-Colonel Mohamed Ahmed Al Mahrazi, Head of the Technical Examination Department, said that Sharjah Police is keen to remind drivers who use trailers to follow traffic instructions and directions, to reduce accidents and the negative effects they have on individuals and society.
Lieutenant-Colonel Mohamed Ahmed Al Mahrazi pointed to a number of technical requirements developed by the Ministry of Interior for the registration and licensing of trailers, which included the safety of tires, the validity of the trailer structure, in addition to the availability of a reflector triangle being one of the most important elements of safety and security in the vehicle, placing the numbers in a visible and clear place.
Lieutenant-Colonel Mohamed Ahmed Al Mahrazi referred to violating Article No. (96)of the Traffic Law, which stipulates a fine of 1000 dirhams if a driver has an unlicensed trailer.
The Head of the Technical Examination Department at Sharjah Police General Command called on all drivers owning trailers to adhere to all required technical requirements to protect road users from trailers accidents.
