Sharjah 24: Al Sabihiya Suburb Council commemorated Flag Day, and council members, led by Chairman Mohammad Al Ghawi Al Naqbi, hoisted the UAE flag in the presence of a large crowd, Vice President Khalfan Saleh Al Naqbi, and council staff, as everyone chanted the UAE national anthem.
The Chairman of the Council commended the wise leadership's accomplishments and the country's continuous progress in all fields, and commended on behalf of all council members the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the Nation, and his brothers, members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates, in establishing the modern United Arab Emirates.
The Vice President of the Council stated that the flag symbolises the people of the Emirates' love and loyalty to their leader, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may God protect him, who is spearheading the UAE's progress in a various field.
