Sharjah 24: During November, as part of the "Piece of the Month" project, Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi's Centre sheds light on the First Class Order of Zayed II Award honouring His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, coinciding with the country's celebrations of the National Day.
His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, was awarded the Order on December 2, 1996 by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace, in the presence of the late Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi. The honouring ceremony included all the rulers of United Arab Emirates, who sincerely contributed to the journey of giving, in appreciation of their great efforts in supporting the union’s march and achieving renaissance.
The loyal late rulers of the UAE were also honoured, in appreciation of the great role they played in serving the country, laying the foundations of the union and standing for the achievements made over the years.
The late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, expressed his pride and appreciation to his brothers, the rulers of the United Arab Emirates and the loyal late rulers, for their dedication in serving the country and citizens.
It is noteworthy that "Piece of the Month" is a project launched by Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi, and aims to highlight on a monthly basis one of the distinctive pieces from the collection of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, which represents exceptional achievements in various scientific and cultural fields.
