Sharjah24: As part of the “Piece of the Month” project, aims at shedding light on one of the distinctive pieces from the collection of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi Centre for Gulf Studies (Dara) chose “Necklace of the Republic,” which was awarded to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in May 2015, in appreciation of Sharjah Ruler’s efforts to support the Arabic language in Arab Republic of Egypt.
Speaking on the occasion, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah stated : “The Arabic language is the language we communicate, and it must return to its previous era, glory and honour ."
In an official ceremony, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, granted His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, "Necklace of the Republic" in a ceremony held at the Federal Palace.
