Sharjah24: The Family Affairs Committee of Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) of the Emirate of Sharjah discussed its various roles and continuous interest in supporting the community issues, in light of the Council’s vision to ensure the families’ cohesion.
This came during its first meeting, which was held on Sunday morning at the Council's headquarters in the city of Sharjah, in light of the beginning of the work of the Sharjah Consultative Council for the third regular session of the tenth legislative term, in which it discussed its various plans and work program for the coming period.

The meeting was chaired by Her Excellency Fatima Ali Al Muhairi, Chairperson of the Family Affairs Committee; in the presence of several dignitaries. 

At the beginning of the meeting, the committee affirmed its continuing role in developing visuals for various important topics, in line with the vision of the Sharjah Consultative Council and its objectives to provide decent lives for all families in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The committee reviewed many of topics to ensure its continuous support to the children and families, in light of the attention given by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA).

Commenting on this, Her Excellency Fatima Ali Al Muhairi confirmed that the Committee carried out, during the past two legislative sessions, various works, including visits, participations, and organisation of work sessions.

She indicated the approval of the members of the committee to continue the committee's roles within the plans of the Sharjah Consultative Council to find out the issues that pertain to families and society and the importance of the family social role of community members in order to preserve the family and its cohesion and to prepare reports and recommendations on societal issues.
