Sharjah 24: The sessions of the first and second days of the 17th Family Forum, organised by the Department of Family Development Centres (DFDC) of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, approved a number of recommendation on the studies and research to analyse the cultural gap between generations.
The 17th edition of the Family Forum is under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and the Ruler of Sharjah, and his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah.
The 17th edition comes with the aim of bridging the gap between generations, and monitoring all challenges and their impact on Arab and Islamic culture. The edition also strive to unite efforts between the home and the school to enhance the quality of safe digital life for the new generations, supported by the cultural heritage of the UAE in proportion to the next fifty years.
The 17th Family Forum witnessed wide participation from community members, who called for the need to confirm the values of cultural heritage that work to achieve harmony in society by strengthening the role of the family and educational institutions. In addition to monitoring the negative impact of social media on socialisation, especially the youth who use it the most.
Her Excellency Mody Al Shamsi, Chairperson of the Department of Family Development Centres (DFDC) and Chairperson of the Supreme Organising Committee of the Family Forum, expressed happiness with the success of the event in its early days, which was represented by a wide participation of local and regional social institutions, speakers, experts and specialists.
